Is it normal for ETHEX Morphine Solution to change color?
Yes, it is normal for ETHEX’s morphine solution to vary in color from pink or light red to orange or amber-pink. Since our formulation contains ascorbic acid, this product tends to golden with age. This color change can occur even in a closed or sealed bottle, and is not indicative of the product’s potency. Typically, the color of the product will be consistent within the same lot/expiration date. Significant color change will usually occur only over a period of many months, provided the product is stored as recommended.
It looks like there are a few drops left in the InveAmp™. Is this normal?
Yes. InveAmp™ is designed to dispense the labeled dose of solution. A small amount of solution may remain in the ampoule after dosing. Discard InveAmp™ immediately after use.
The InveAmp™ appears to be slightly less than half full. Is this normal?
Yes. InveAmp™ is designed to dispense one milliliter (1 mL) of solution. A normal InveAmp™ will be slightly less than half full.
Are these products flavored?
Yes. ETHEX Morphine Solution and ETH-Oxydose™ Solution both contain flavorings that patients generally describe as berry-flavored.
Is ETH-Oxydose™ the same as Oxydose™?
Yes. ETH-Oxydose™ used to be called Oxydose™. Be sure to specify “ETH-Oxydose” on your DEA form 222.
